Quality Improvement Leadership Toolkit (QILT) Virtual Course

Do you have an idea for QI project? Do you want mentoring and support to make it happen? Do you want to network with others in the CICU world who are also interested in QI to collaborate and accomplish great things? The Virtual QILT Course is a great resource for all of this and more. You will get to discuss your QI ideas with and gain ongoing support from experienced quality improvement experts and your project can be guided from the idea/design phase all the way through publication. Take the next step in kickstarting your QI career by registering below. 

Participants will apply QI methodology while working through a case study to enhance learning. 

The course objectives are: 

  • Understand and apply the broad concepts of quality improvement science.
  • Develop SMART aims and an AIM statement.
  • Differentiate between QI and research methodology.
  • Understand the components of and develop a Key Driver Diagram (KDD).
  • Understand and demonstrate the steps of a PDSA cycle.
  • Understand random vs assignable variation (and why it matters), how to choose and define metrics, and apply the science of run charts to your metrics. 
  • Understand the value and pitfalls of process control (SPC).
  • Learn to write an abstract using the SQUIRE guidelines.
